Hypoglycemia

What is Hypoglycemia or Low Blood Sugar ?
Hypoglycemia is a condition in which there is an abnormally low level of glucaose (sugar) in the blood, resulting in symptoms such as sweating, tremours, anxiety, short temper, inability to concerntrate, craving for carbohydrates or sugars and rapid heart beat.

What does conventional medicine offer ?
To diagnose hypoglycemia your doctor may perform a glucose tolerance test. However, many people have symptoms of hypoglycemia even though the results of a GTT are within normal limits. Sometimes this condition can be caused by an overgrowth of Candida. Go to FOCUS ON CANDIDA to see if this could be the root cause of your blood sugar imbalance.

Candida and its relevance to Hypoglycemia.
Candida is an endocrine system disorder which can effect fluctuations in blood sugar levels. When Candida becomes systemic (it buries through the gut wall and enters the blood stream) it leaves tiny holes in the gut wall which then allow product from the bowel into the blood stream. This is what doctors call Gut Dysbiosis.  Candida can now circulate through the blood stream and has the ability to interfere with hormone receptors. It is these hormone receptors which are responsible for switching on or off the production of insulin which regulates blood sugar levels and can cause hypoglycemia.  Once the overgrowth of Candida has been eradicated through our Candida Program, hormone receptors should return to normal function and cease to disrupt insulin regulation.
